Frequently asked questions

What time is the school open?

The school will be open during term times only, 33 weeks per year. There are two sessions:

Morning Session: 9am – 12noon
Full Day: 9am – 3pm

(the children who stay a full day must bring a packed lunch)

At what age do the children start the nursery?

We take children from 2.5- 5 years. The children usually leave us the term after their 4th birthday to go on to their ‘big schools’.

We have 3 intakes, September, January and April.

The classes are mixed in age as per the Monterssori system.

What are the fees?

Please contact us so we can send you the latest fees

Do you offer funding?

Pangbourne House offers the MFE (Minimum Funding Entitlement) – an entitlement of £6.65*, per child, per household. Once your child turns 3 years old, the school will let you know that you are eligible to receive the MFE or nursery grant from the government. We deduct this amount from your school fees each term.

Does my child have to be potty trained when they start?

While we encourage you to start the potty training proccess before your child joins the nursery, if they arent ready, we will of course help them while they are at school.

What extras do you offer?

We offer French, Spanish, Ballet and Yoga as part of the school day.

Can I come and visit?
